In this series I have documented a few of the places we will miss once we leave Germany. Something we will miss is having the opportunity to travel to foreign countries for a relatively low price and in a relatively short time frame.
We drove to England twice, and now to Italy. We have driven to Luxembourg, France, Austria, the Czech Republic. We have flown to Ireland and Matt to Scotland and Poland. Taking all of these trips from our home in Germany made these trips crazy-affordable and we do not take that for granted.
Here are a few pictures from our various trips all around Europe:
A bit about our trip:
So Matt’s big “must see” in most towns is Hard Rock Café. I collect Starbucks Mugs and today I am planning on stopping in Lucerne and Zurich on our way home to score a couple more.
Our drive home is only five and a half hours, not too bad. I have a feeling we’re going to be ready to sleep in our own beds by the time we arrive home!
I have some easy meals in the freezer ready to prepare so that we can finally sit around our own table again. And as much anticipation we have about our trip (seeing as how I’m writing this before we leave) I can imagine that we will have that wonderful feeling upon returning that there is truly no place like home.
